To support low income and marginalised communities affected by the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, Sisters at Law organised an income generation training in the Southern Province. The workshop was in response to a request from a Local Government Public Official (Women and Economic Development Officers of Benthota Divisional Secretariat).
Nearly 50 women participated in the event held on the banks of Madhu Ganga in Benthota. Our workshop leaders shared livelihood support and money management strategies both in individual and group sessions. Our aim was to build capacity and motivate our participants to increase their self-reliance.
